GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: Pininfarina Cambiano Concept teased

Design group Pininfarina will reveal a high-tech concept car games at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show to celebrate its 30th anniversary

As we edge closer to the Geneva Motor Show in early March, car companies are making their intentions known, and the latest cab off the rank is from famous Italian design house Pininfarina.

The company has released a trio of teaser photos of its latest design, the Cambiano Concept , which appears to be a 2+2 seat two-door coupe. There is also odd lattice-work design incorporated into the roof. It remains to be seen whether this is just aesthetic or potentially one of the car's show-stopping elements, possibly tying together design and an innovative breakthrough, such as a self-cooling carbon-fibre structure with LED shading technology that can holographically project Facebook updates onto other cars.

It is unclear what sort of powerplant resides under the bonnet, but there's strong chance it could be a hybrid petrol-electric unit.

Pininfarina named the Cambiano concept after the city where the automotive design group is based, and according to the company the vehicle was built to commemorate a double header for the Italian group - the 30th anniversary of its styling centre and the 10th birthday of its engineering centre.

The Italian design house has styled countless vehicles for many different car manufacturers, including the Ferrari 458 Italia, Alfa Romeo Brera, and even the Ford Focus CC and Peugeot 306 Cabriolet.

If you like what you see, you can follow the Pininfarina Cambiano Concept on Facebook.

As far as the drip-feed teaser campaign goes - the likes of which are being used more and more by car companies - do you think it achieves its goal of generating excitement, or is a just an exercise in tedium? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
